Stop motion video “The Locked Death”, 2016
When looking for interesting topics to animate in a video, relevant to the town of Kranj, Upper Carniola, where also our organisation is based, we came across the folk tale “The Locked Death”. It was recorded in the 19th century by the Slovenian poet, linguist and translator Matija Valjavec, who attended school in Kranj and heard this folk tale as a child in a nearby village, where he grew up. The lesson of the story is still relevant today and encourages us to reflect on our existence.
